Maxi

Definition:

Short for Maximialist, a phrase coined by @Vitalik Buterin. A maxi is someone who thinks that their crypto coin/project will be the dominant one in the space and they typically believe only in that one coin. They often advocate selling everything else, IRL assets included, and piling it all into the one coin. They can be toxic, funny and occasionally even correct.

    General slang meaning lying, faking or larping, sometimes used as “no cap” meaning “no lie”.

    Often gender neutral. Blindly devoted fans of a project or a token. They are the biggest shillers and defenders of a project, and the greatest HODLERs. An organic army of fanboys is a project’s strongest asset. Sometimes hard to tell the difference between a fanboy and a simp.

    Scum of the Web3 world. Scammers live to steal your ETH, crypto or NFT. They will ask for your seed phrase, take control of your computer via a phony helpdesk app or just create a fake project with no infrastructure and pump it up. Their reckoning will come. Also used frequently by Bitcoin maxis to describe anybody that speaks about or even holds any coin that is not BTC.
