Definition:

$SOL is the native crypto currency of the Solana Blockchain. A popular chain for NFTs after Ethereum, it is faster in terms of the transactions per minute it can handle and drastically reduces the transaction cost, compared to gas on Ethereum. However, many believe it is more centralised as a result.
